When Design Fails User Experience

I rarely comment on matters relating to design due to its subjectivity and sensitive nature of the stakeholders and the fact almost everyone is an expert these days. Even I used to be very touchy about this type stuff until I stopped thinking like a designer and instead, started thinking like a user. In doing so, I finally came to the realization that when Design works, we all win!

Again, moving on and in the year 2011 upon pitching up in another company, I was immediately given the task of conceptualizing a national campaign for Unilever. I relished the task greatly this time and went to work as a one-man Swiss army knife.

I seem to have a thing for nationalistic campaigns. My work experience is littered with several such projects that are heavily charged with emotion while trying to awaken a sense of  civic responsibility and service to the Fatherland. Call me sentimental and over-dramatic and you won’t be far off.
